It's time to say goodbye to knees and welcome more chic lenghts.

An order storm on the silhouette is being hastely creating.

Larger tops, longer skirts ! Since the modernist Jonathan Saunders until the coming og Michael Kors, showing american luxury, many designers decided to increase skirt lenght from under the knee to the middle of the shin, and showed a new design in which are gathered personnal passions.

How could we then explain this new lenght ? We're living, in 2011, in a totally new time of communication.

Reading and analyzing trends and styles directions, and living in a galaxy of fashion, the past debate on skirt lenght, althought being anachronical, has no link with economic gauges.

We feel nothing more then fascination for this midi skirt « pretty simplicity ».

What does this midi skirt, presented by this new season designers, then look like ?

Among this season midi styles, showed with large or narrow shapes, Jonathan Saunders, who launched this fascinating look, explain the new lenght this way : « Midi skirt new lenght which came in the 40's, did'nt look heavier or neglacted. A direction toward elegance is coming. »

Jonathan Saunders showed a skirt narrow around thighs and which went down to the knees, but he made the midi skirt, which ends on a straight cut inspired by Lalique with King Fisher Blue, jade and cherry colors, and made free from a disagreement on fashion matching any veste with any shoes.

Nicolas Ghesquiere, of Balenciage, who achieved a fascination style (a reptile or tree-printed crepe skirt, which match with a silk shirt and shiny leather jacket), says this :

« As I'm looking for an architectonic element and an opinion on lines flaw and volume, I tried to grow the silhouette up and down. Breats being longer, and waists disappearing, we can use more material. This stretching lenght made the calf even more beautiful with the material flexibility. »

Contrary to the chic style matching Balenciage's body, midi style of the freed silhouette shows that there are many methods of using this new lenght.

Over the trumpet skirt, in a curly tissue white as ice, Sarah Burton (Alexander McQueen's designer) put a jacket with slim ribbons and shows the body line ; this looks neat, lie the Duchess of Cambridge, visiting USA.

Althought the duchess a very pretty knees.

This is not only that designers show there is a midi style from slim line to a flexible one.

Frida Giannini, from Gucci, showed a collection colored as the 70's, which is her favorite time.

The result is creating harmony with a curly skirt in cashmire, a silk blouse, a circle cape and a hat.

We can think about Faye Dunaway when she plays in the horror film 'Eyees of Laura Mars'.

We can also see 70's style in 'Marc by Marc Jacobs', in particular the leopard printed velvet skirt, stetching from the waist.

The emerald silk skirt from Chloe, drawing a snake, is very charming.

« Skirt lenght couldn't influence the fashion world for long. But with the launch of the pleats skirt from Chloe last season, we could see the classic midi skirt lenght reborn. »

Harvey Nichols' Women clothing selling manager Averyl Oates, said :

« Rodarte long laces skirt is inspired by the Great Plaines mild fields, and this season designers put its unique characteristics in their style. The midi skirt is neither wonderful as the maxi skirt, nor looks as young as the mini skirt. But what's important with the midi skirt, is that it can be worn and displayed in many style. »

Clements Ribeiro totally puts this charm in his collection.

Both designers who came back to London last year thought about a luxurious and mature collection.

Inacio Ribeiro adviced to wonder about the reason to use nice and various animals patterns from Damask (thick material showing silk or linen patterns from both sides) only on short skirts.

« The more the skirt is long, the more it brings a huge change in look. Silhouette, graphical and subtle, making us think about proportions, gives us a completely new perception. We can talk about a good point. A long skirt shows a sober womanhood and a feeling of intellectual women, which is a very good point. »

Among the midi lenght greater charms, the intellectual and elegant image is inside its style.

How should we then face this new lenght appearance ?

In order to accept clothes with the new ratios in the wardrobe, we should need to have a time to think.

But it's not about changing every clothes in the wardrobe.

First, cardigans, pullovers, tunique and silk shirts all match with the midi skirt, but for smaller people, it has to show waists.

When we wear a coat, we can choose a similar lenght as a suit jacket os skirtn and high heels shoes, which give a chic style, but for people with strong legs, it has to show the body line with naked shadows and wearing out ankle strap.

Of course, you have to wear socks out. Even when we're confused or tired, midi style will show your self confidence.

Moreover, it's slow on latent desires which direct the 'New' and 'Wow', but we give it a special answer.

If you notice that a few inches difference wan lead to big changes, we can't know if you'll be seduced by the midi skirt.
